Walk4Water
In America, we take for granted how easily accessible water is. In other parts of the world, people have to walk long distances to gain access to clean water. Each year we put on a walk to raise money and awareness of this crisis. All the money raised goes to drilling wells in 3rd world countries. See our calendar section for the date of the walk or contact us for more details.
Known by God Ministry
God views every life as precious and commands us in Proverbs 31:8, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” This pro-life ministry raises awareness on the topic of abortion in our community. In addition to raising awareness, we offer support and resources to mothers as they go through their pregnancy and transition into parenthood.
Caring Hearts Ministry – Wednesday night after Bible classes
This weekly card writing event fosters fellowship among our members and allows us to take time out of our busy schedules to tell others we are thinking of them, praying for them, and that we love them as God loves them. Stay for a few minutes after class to send a card of encouragement.
Small-Group Bible Study – Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.
This weekly Bible study is designed for those who are new to the Bible and their walk with God. We meet in a casual setting to pray for each other, study the Bible, and deepen relationships.
Ladies Bible Study – Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
This Bible class allows the ladies to get together and study a book of the Bible and how it applies to their day-to-day lives. The ladies love to take a break from their busy week and to get together to enjoy each other’s company and meditate on God’s word.
Fellowship Meals
The last Sunday of every month after worship and Bible study we have a congregational meal. Jesus showed his deep love and concern for those around him by sharing a meal with them. It is important for us to participate in this meal to deepen our relationships with each other and share the joy of Christian fellowship.
School Supply Drive
Every year kids head off to school without the needed supplies to succeed in the classroom. We want to change that. Each August we take in donations so that we can fill backpacks to give to families who are unable to purchase those items.
Trunk or Treat
In October the congregation plans a community-wide Trunk or Treat where kids from all over the community can come and show off their costumes and get some candy while enjoying the fellowship of Christians. There are costume contests, games, and lots of candy.
Operation Christmas Child
Pleasant View Church of Christ works with Operation Christmas Child to bring gifts to children less fortunate than us. This also provides a great way to show them the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pleasant View will serve as the East Bay Kick-Off Location and a Drop Off Location during National Collection Week.
Gingerbread House Decorating
Every December our youngest members spend time decorating their very own gingerbread house. This proves to be one of the highlights of the year for our youth group.
Holiday Party
Each December the congregation comes together as one to exchange presents as a reminder of our love for one another. It is a night filled with good food, fun, and laughter.
Prayer Support
Fill out our form for a prayer request. Your request can be public or confidential.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Join Our Community
In essentials, we have unity: “There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…” Ephesians 4:4-6
