Together We Stand

First, let us love God.   Second, let us love one another

The following list contains our current Ministries.  If you want to join us or have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Walk4Water

In America, we take for granted how easily accessible water is.  In other parts of the world, people must walk long distances to access clean water.  We put on a walk each year to raise money and awareness of this crisis.  All the money raised goes to drilling wells in 3rd world countries.  See our calendar section for the walk date, or contact us for more details.

Fellowship Meals

Quarterly, on the 5th Sunday, after worship and Bible study, we have a congregational meal.  Jesus showed his deep love and concern for those around him by sharing a meal with them.  It is important for us to participate in this meal to deepen our relationships with each other and share the joy of Christian fellowship.

Caring Hearts Ministry – Sunday mornings after Bible classes

This weekly card-writing event fosters fellowship among our members and allows us to take time out of our busy schedules to tell others we are thinking of them, praying for them, and that we love them as God loves them.  Stay for a few minutes after class to send a card of encouragement.

Ladies Bible Study – Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.

This Bible class allows the ladies to get together and study a book of the Bible and how it applies to their day-to-day lives.  The ladies love to take a break from their busy week, enjoy each other’s company, and meditate on God’s word.

Trunk or Treat

In October, the congregation plans a community-wide Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat where kids from all over the community can come and show off their costumes and get some candy while enjoying the fellowship of Christians.  There are costume contests, games, and lots of candy.

Holiday Cooking Decoration

Every December, our youngest members spend time decorating their very own Holiday Cookies.  This proves to be one of the year’s highlights for our youth group.

Operation Christmas Child

Pleasant View Church of Christ works with Operation Christmas Child to bring gifts to children less fortunate than us.  This also provides a great way to show them the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Pleasant View will serve as the East Bay Kick-Off and Drop-Off locations during National Collection Week.

Holiday Party

Each December, the congregation comes together as one to exchange presents as a reminder of our love for one another.  It is a night filled with good food, fun, and laughter.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Psalm 34:8

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3
